“Standing In The Way Of Control” by GOSSIP is being re-released due to the tracks popularity as the theme song for the new E4 show “Skins”. Originally released at the end of October ’06, it will be back again on February 26th on Back Yard Records. “Standing In The Way….” is the killer title track from the album of the same name featuring the sublime soul-fire vocals of BETH DITTO, who alongside brilliant guitarist BRACE PAINE and kick-ass drummer HANNAH BILLIE, make up GOSSIP. “Standing In The Way Of Control” is an irrefutable anthem, written by BETH as a response to her government’s decision to deny gays the right to marriage in the U.S. “Nobody in the States was that surprised or shocked by what Bush did, but it made everyone I know feel helpless and cheated,” BETH says. “I wrote the chorus to try and encourage people not to give up.
