EVANESCENCE are new to VIDEO PLUS this week with their new single “Call Me When You’re Sober”. The single is released digitally on September 4th, while the physical single is released on September 25th. It is taken from the new EVANESCENCE album “The Open Door” which is released on October 2nd on Columbia Records. This album is a follow up to “Fallen” which sold over 14 million copies worldwide, and brought the Little Rock, Arkansas band to global success. The album sold over 1.2 million copies in the U.K. alone and spawned two Top 10 singles, “My Immortal” and “Bring Me To Life”, which hit the No. 1 spot and stayed there for four weeks. “Fallen” also picked up two Grammy Awards in 2003 for Best New Artist, and Best Hard Rock Performance for “Bring Me To Life”, and spent over 100 weeks on Billboard’s Hot 200 Chart. EVANESCENCE recorded “The Open Door” in L.A. in 2006, and the album features the return of long-time friend and producer Dave Fortman. The album is defined by Amy Lee’s beautiful melodies, profound lyrics, stunning vocals and poignant piano, fused with Terry Balsamo’s urgent, yet intricate guitar playing.
