The new album by NEW YOUNG PONY CLUB “Fantastic Playroom” was released on July 9th on Modular/Island Records. After a chance meeting between lead singer Tahita and production guru Andy in 2005, a master plan was put into action to establish something distinctly new and utterly potent. Enter NEW YOUNG PONY CLUB – 2 boys and 3 girls (Tahita Bulmer, Andy Spence, Sarah Jones, Igor Volk, Lou Hayter), the kind of band that has the boys going wild and girls wishing they were dancing alongside the stage. Two years later, a debut single under their belt and a UK tour, they’ve now dropped their new album. “Ice Cream” is the single. NEW YOUNG PONY CLUB will be appearing at Global Gathering on July 27th, Stratford Upon Avon, Standon Calling Festival, London on July 28th, Secret Garden Festival in Kent on August 4th, Carling Festivals in Leeds and Reading on August 24th and 26th; Creamfields in Liverpool on August 25th and Get Loaded in London on August 26th.
