AMERIE

2007 is AMERIE’S year. Having already achieved her second top ten hit with “Take Control”, AMERIE is about to take it to the next level with the monster track “Gotta Work” which is released on July 30th on Sony BMG Records. Yes, it will remind you of that other monster hit “Crazy In Love” by label-mate Beyonce – and this one is just as commercial. AMERIE’s new album “Because I Love It” is stacked full of hits; to name a few, “Crush” shows AMERIE’s love of the 80’s as she borrows from that sound with a chorus never to be forgotten, and “Some Like It” which samples 80’s legend Malcolm McLaren. Multi-talented AMERIE has written and co-produced the whole album, and it’s already out.
