ATHLETE “Hurricane” is released digitally on Parlophone Records on August 13th, with the physical and digi-bundles to follow on August 27th. It’s been two and a half years since their double platinum (600,000 units) “Tourist” album was released, which spawned the hit singles “Wires”, “Half Light” and “24 Hours”. “Hurricane” heralds the triumphant return of the band. It is taken from ATHLETE’s forthcoming third album “Beyond The Neighbourhood” which was recorded in the bands’ own studio in south London, and was produced by themselves (with Cenzo Townshend mixing “Hurricane”. The new album is released on September 3rd. ATHLETE will be hitting the road in earnest with a full 13 date UK tour starting in Lincoln on September 29th and finishing in Liverpool on October 15th. “Hurricane” is a brilliant return!
