ALL OUR GOOD FRIENDS
"To Catch The Stars" is the first single from ALL OUR GOOD FRIENDS. It’s from the debut album "Promise", out now, which picked up the Sunday Times CD of the Week. "To Catch The Stars" is a deeply personal song, delving into some very dark and rarely visited places. It asks the question "Are you prepared to catch the stars"? But it actually means are you brave enough to be yourself and face the consequences. Out of a literal and metaphorical storm emerges a glassy, shimmering ringing. An optimistic dawn that’s quickly stymied by self-doubt and admonishment; "your shrink-wrapped lifestyle may protect your thoughts but it won’t help you think." ALL OUR GOOD FRIENDS is Johnny Daukes. The music video was written and directed by Johnny and co-stars his 74-year old father, three year old daughter and a stripper. Just what you’d expect from a man who’s background is steeped in film, scriptwriting and well, stunt riding.
