BEYONCE’s new video “Ring The Alarm” seems to be the most controversial this week – not because the video itself is controversial, but because of all of the false rumours that are circulating at the moment. The video was “reportedly” a response to Rihanna’s rumoured affair with BEYONCE’s boyfriend Jay-Z. BEYONCE addressed these rumours as rumours in a letter to vibe.com stating about the single “I am very proud of this song and I believe the video is once of the best I have ever done. It’s energetic, aggressive and filled with hard beats and I can’t wait for my fans to see it. I always believed this would be a powerful song.” The other rumour was that the single was being rushed out to compete with ex-Destiny’s Child member LeToya who also has a new single and album. BEYONCE’s manager and father Mathew Knowles has addressed all of these issues, and BEYONCE has also responded. In a statement she said “I have enormous respect and admiration for LeToya as an artist and a business woman and I wish her incredible success with her debut cd and her career.” “It makes me sad that people are trying to stir up a controversy where there is none.” “Ring The Alarm” is the second release from BEYONCE’S upcoming album “B-Day” which is released on September 4th to coincide with BEYONCE’s 25th birthday.
