FUGATIVE
There's a new kid on the block. And he is armed with the sound of the concrete playground. FUGATIVE, from Loughton in Essex, is already a massive hit on urban TV "Channel U", where the video for his debut track "It's Summertime" is the most requested video so far this summer. "It's Summertime's" hip hop, rap and unmistakable pop catchiness, or Hip-Pop - is set to become this year's summer smash. FUGATIVE is joined on the song, by Kele Le Roc and Darren Martyn. The live response to FUGATIVE is powerful. Whether opening for DJ Ironik or playing at under 18 clubs, the audience is loving his set and FUGATIVE will be spending his school summer holidays performing around the country. 14-year old FUGATIVE began his career at the tender age of 7, when he started hanging out with Darren Martyn (Shola Ama, The Honeyz) in his studio. Cycling from his home to Hackney after school, FUGATIVE spent all his spare time writing his lyrics and experimenting with his sounds with the result that this young guy is now writing way beyond his years. His flow has a British feel, although the musical influence of US artists such as Sean Kingston and Lil' Wayne can be picked up, and his lyrical content is distinctly British, inspired as it is by the issues that most teenagers are facing.
