HAMFATTER
Cult-indie pop band HAMFATTER release their third album "What Part Of Hamfatter Do You Not Understand?" on August 18th, with shimmering single "The Girl I Love " as the lead single, released physically on August 11th, on Hamfatter Ltd. "The Girl I Love", showcases HAMFATTER's quality songwriting and sharp sense of humour, with a hilarious self-made music video. SONNY J is compared to the likes of Belle & Sebastian and Diving Comedy, and sums themselves up with the assessment "indie for people who actually really like music." HAMFATTER (meaning a "third rate minstrel") formed in 2002 when Eoin O'Mahony (vocals, piano, bass, double bass) and James Ingham (guitar, vocals) were studying music at Cambridge, and met drummer Mark Ellis at a gig. They have produced one album in a bedroom and a second in a day and still garnered rave reviews. This third album was made with the unusual luxury of time, which the band enthusiastically embraced. "Obviously, this is a massive opportunity for us. We've never had a chance before to spend so long in the studio" says Eoin, "As a band we just keep getting better and better - in studio and live. And we know we can take on any of the big bands that are out there and win."
