Emerging from the back streets of Cardiff, The Dirty Looks are a five piece indie rock ‘n’ roll band. The group's recently completed five track recording ,”You Decide “, fuses Greg's raw vocals with effervescent strumming guitars to create an introductory demo bursting at the seams with ultra catchy, energetic sing-alongs.
The Dirty Looks are currently gigging in and around the Cardiff area and turning their attention to constant rehearsing and promoting. They are also giving away free copies of their first recorded demo at all gigs and have also made this available for people to listen to on the internet.
The multi-talented Dicky Waters was the creator of The Dirty Looks and is the brain behind the songs, taking his influences from the likes of John Lennon, early Fleetwood Mac and The Kinks (but to name a few).He started the band in late 2006 when he met the equally talented Greg Kelly via the internet. “I was looking to join a band when I was blown away by the heartfelt melodies that gripped me by the balls at the first listen” Greg explains when asked what made him want to team up with Dicky. Some might say this was the start of a beautiful friendship!
No sooner than you could say ob-la-di ob-la-da Gary Goodwin had also hooked up with the lads, being a songwriter himself and with a tune or two in his back pocket it would bode well as the trio soon became inseparable spending every given moment mastering their work.
Needing a drummer and bass player Pagey, an old school friend of Greg’s he used to jam with, and Owen , another inspired find via the wonder of the world wide web, would later team up with the lads to complete the line up.
The band continue to pursue their hunger for exposure, promoting themselves and building a fan base. With stand out tracks like “Belong” and “Save Me” they aim to become a great addition to any music lovers library.
